THE MECHANICS
From April 19 to May 16, 2009, every time you buy any large Armando's Pizza (whether dine-in, take-out, or delivery), you will receive an entry form that will give you a chance to enter PIZZA BLITZA V, the country's first and only annual pizza speed-eating contest, courtesy of your homegrown favorite Armando's Pizza, "Ang Pambansang Pizza."
After you completely fill out the form, drop the lower portion into the drop box no later than 11:00 pm on May 16 (Saturday) located at Historic Camalig Restaurant (Home of Armando's Pizza: "Ang Pambansang Pizza"), 292 Sto Rosario Street, Angeles City. Keep the upper portion of the form in a safe place, as you will need it later.
Six (6) contestants each will be picked by lottery on the following dates:
-Apr 26 (Sun), to compete in the weekly contest on May 2 (Sat)
-May 3 (Sun), to compete in the weekly contest on May 9 (Sat)
-May 10 (Sun), to compete in the weekly contest on May 16 (Sat)
-May 17 (Sun), to compete in the weekly contest on May 23 (Sat)
All contestants will be notified by landline or cellphone.
During the weekly contests in the evenings of May 2, 9, 16, and 23 (all Saturdays), the first two (2) contestants to finish their pizzas will be eligible to join the finals that will be held in the evening of May 30 (Sat) where there will be a total of eight (8) contestants.
The following prizes will be awarded to the two (2) weekly winners:
-1st place: P500 worth of food and drinks at Camalig
-2nd place: P300 worth of food and drinks at Camalig
The following prizes will be awarded to the three (3) grand final winners:
-1st place: P3,000 worth of food and drinks at Camalig
-2nd place: P2,000 worth of food and drinks at Camalig
-3rd place: P1,000 worth of food and drinks at Camalig
